Walkthrough of the open living room, the kitchen island and the way out to the terrace

The brief asked for a generous living room, open to the kitchen and with a clear relationship to the terrace. The decision that organises the whole project is the floor: a dark, strongly veined marble that runs without a break from the living area to the island. On that base, everything else was resolved in beige, pale timber and black accents.

The television wall gathers technology and fire in a single move: a linear fireplace under the screen and lit niches to one side. The low, generous modular sofa looks that way and towards the garden at once. There is no need to choose between watching a film and looking outside.

The kitchen announces itself with a dark stone island and three stools. Behind it, a pale timber run integrates the fridge and ovens without breaking the calm of the living area. The globe pendant over the island marks the change of use without needing a wall.

The hallway and staircase inherit the same marble and contrast it with a dark timber slatted ceiling. It is the transition between the day zone and the rest of the home: the same materiality, a different scale, without losing continuity.

The result is a day floor that feels generous because it does not fight itself. The marble gives weight, the timber gives warmth and the terrace acts as a fifth elevation. A living room to stay in, not only to show.
